Google Suits Video
Creative Direction, Storyboarding, Storytelling
2012
On February 10, 2010, Google announced their Google Fiber Project, a chance for U.S. cities to compete to bring Google's 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections to their community. My community, Grand Rapids, formed a planning committee but I wanted to do something a little more guerrilla. My contribution was the Google Suits. A band of 10 tyvek suited lunatics focused on bringing some excitement, and a little disruption to the Grand Rapids rally. We ran through the streets chanting "Google, Fiber" on the way to the rally, rushed the stage, started a dance party, and had our friend and videographer Bill Bergen capture it on film.

We conceptualized, produced and posted our own video for the promotion of Grand Rapids from initial idea to final cut in 10 days. We made the local newspaper, tv news and can even be seen in the Google Thank You video.
